My objectives

In choosing to participate in this experience abroad, I have both personal and professional goals.

Personal Objectives

• I hope to gain confidence in myself through stepping out of my comfort zone. 

• I hope to embrace another culture in a way that can only be accomplished in person.

• I hope to form positive relationships with my host family and school.  

• I hope to gain a new perspective on my life and lives of those abroad.

Professional Objectives

• I hope my Spanish vocabulary and conversation skills improve with practice.

• I hope to learn about an education system that is different from the one I have been a part of for my entire life.

• I hope to modify my educational conceptual framework based on what I learn to better benefit my students.
